A 6Mbps DSL connection was purchased from Stephouse Networks for the weekend. It is up and working. Thursday afternoon, volunteers from the Personal Telco Project (Caleb Phillips and RussellSenior) installed two loaned access points at the west and east end of the space:

  • SSID: www.personaltelco.net/rcc
  • Channels: 1 and 11
  • Network: 10.11.84.0/22
  • Default Gateway: 10.11.84.1

In addition, there is a slower DSL connection available via wireless supplied by the building (SSID: Audio Cinema) on channel 6.

If you need a wired connection, you can plug into one of the 4 LAN ports on the eastern AP (corner of the balcony). NOTE: the two APs are bridged, therefore the cat5 run on the eastern access point MUST be plugged into the LAN port (NOT the WAN port!).

The access points belong to the Personal Telco Project. We need to make arrangements to recover them at the conclusion.
