Hi Mark -- No, I don't have any problems with the convention of deprecating user space. The one convention I'm hoping that does get adopted is MediaWiki's Categories. I think this will benefit the conference by allowing people to look at Category: Topics & seeing what other people want to talk about at this year's RCC; this could stimulate further interest, & thus reduce the barrier to participation -- which is needed to create all successful communities. Someone added MS as a logo, but there's no link to them on the sponsors page or how much they contributed. Who was the contact? Kristin 20:49, 1 February 2007 (UTC) Also, I'm hoping a local coffee grinder steps up and donates in-kind. If so, we'll have another logo to add.
Also, do you know who has a color printer? I'd like to see about getting "my" sponsors the video of last year, but I'd like to have a color printed label for the DVD.--Kristin
Regarding that color printer, I'd like someone to print out each of the Sponsor's logos and I"ll make a poster of them for live display at the conference.

How to handle unspamming pages.
Time to freeze 2007 and do a SaveAs and call it 2008. From there, one link opens the archive to 2007 (and frozen 2006) museums. Easier said than done. And it has already been "imported" into 2008 justlikethat. Wikis grow and change and who's to say that if someone took the time to bring all of 2007 over to 2008 that it would stay that way? "Please note that all contributions to RCC 2007 may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors....your writing [may] be edited mercilessly." How to make the recent changes camp say just RCC? Another idea from Feb was to have a cover page like Wikipedia does. One problem I had last year was if I went to rcc it took me to 2006 in some instances. I want to always come to the current year. There should be no more edit button on 2006 and 2007 or anytime the edit button is hit for 2006 or 2007 or it should redirect to a "Sorry no longer changeable" page.
