SynchroEdit
From RCC 2007
SynchroEdit lets many people take notes together on the same document, for each session at the conference. This also allows people who are not at the conference to participate. Note that SynchroEdit only works in Firefox (and other Gecko-based web browsers - Mozilla, Camino, ...).
To join a session:
- go to http://my.synchroedit.com/
- click on the session you want to join
- enter your e-mail address (so that you'll receive a copy of the session notes)
- enter a "handle" (your name or a nickname)
To create a session:
- register for an account at http://www.synchroedit.com/account.php (if you haven't already)
- go to http://my.synchroedit.com/
- enter the Title of your session and a brief Description
- click "Do it!"
At the end of the session, make sure someone goes to Camp proceedings, clicks on the session link (you may have to add it yourself) and pastes the session notes.
Feel free to ask for help: ask any geek nearby, leave a question on this page, or ask on Internet Relay Chat.
