Got a great idea, but not the time to implement it?

Idea One

Banners for chair sectioning. Wanted icons for flags. Someone creative to draw them so they can be printed out. Simple, 2-D icons that can be recognized from across the 10K sq. ft. room. These are for the small groups. How to cheaply get them made?

  • List of icons? LED, Rocket, Mountain, lightening bolt, wave, book, bird, beach ball, lego, paw print etc. Maybe need 10-15 in anticipation of that many subgroups. Something that lends itself to quick recognition. Don't have to use them all.
  • Upright poles. Left-turn arm hanging signs on vertical stake signs. Print or hand draw onto butcher paper? Glue back to back or place on wall. Back to back may need barrier between to prevent see-through. Poles, elbows and arms at Home Depot come out to $5 each section. [Saving this idea for next time.]

Idea Two

This is more about consensus/permission than about time to do it... attendr.com is a place we can list those attending - let me know if thats appropriate... -MM in Chicago.

Question: what is the value added to having our names cross posted elsewhere? -Kristin

Idea Three

Any thoughts about distance participation? I just learned that while I'll be in town, some important personal business may keep me from attending -- but I would like to follow events online. -- GeoffBurling 18:12, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Probably couldn't run a camera to every small group. But, I'm sure there will be people taking notes and uploading under some section once we get the agenda created. And there likely will be some who take stills for flickr. Kristin 20:40, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
