Process Artists
From RCC 2007
Process artists are people who:
...like to learn and live various processes (perhaps collecting a 'toolbox' of ones they like most), and
...are just generally aware that there's always some process playing itself out, and that whatever it is we could experiment with it, try different things that might work better, or help us learn, or both.
This could include any kind of processes, but the emphasis here is on social and psychological processes. These cover the spectrum from individual processes (self-development, meditation, prayer, empowerment training, grief work, etc.) to interpersonal (mediation, couples counselling, etc.); group work (facilitation); organization development; and local, regional and global democratic & other civic/political processes, including anti-political processes such as transpartisanism and anarchy.
Most processes include:
- practice(s)
- theory(ies)
- people who engage in the process, usually in a network which may include one or more groups, organizations and communities
- a less tangible/articulable spirit which the theory, practice and people intend to exemplify.
