Collaboration tools

From RCC 2007

(Redirected from Participating remotely)
Jump to: navigation, search

We're using various collaboration tools - text chat (aka instant messaging), audio/video, collaborative note-taking, and of course this wiki. These both enable us to work together better, and make it possible for people not at the conference to participate. If you have more ideas, just start organizing them and write about it here!

Sessions

Sessions and their times are posted on Camp proceedings. Session notes will also be linked from there as soon as possible after (or even during) the sessions.

If you like, use SynchroEdit to take session notes. That way other people (at the conference and those participating remotely) will be able to collaborate with you on the notes.

General

Use Internet Relay Chat for general text chat.

Use the Live audio and video page to offer or ask for a live audio or video feed.

Upload and browse the Conference photos

Tag your photos, bookmarks, etc. with rcc2007 and recentchangescamp

Of course you can also participate here, in the conference wiki. Click on whatever looks interesting, and read and edit in whatever way you're moved to. In case you didn't know, the wiki has an always-up-to-date list of all Recent changes.

Shouts out

Peter Kaminski waves hi -- I need to attend a family memorial service over the RCC weekend instead of RCC, but I send wiki-well-wishes to Portland! I'll catch you all hither, thither and yon -- maybe RoCoCoMontreal2007!

Hi everybody! Wish I could be there as well. Hope you all are having a great time up north. I'll follow the Wiki over the weekend. See you all at RoCoCo! --Eugene Eric Kim

A big shout out over the continent to Portland from Montreal! May whatever needs to happen happen! -- TheAnarcat

nmw figures out "what's going on" ;D

Hey Peter and Eugene, You're in my photo book from 2006. I've been pushing it all year for RCC2007 and telling people what you told me. Missed you guys this time around.Kristin 06:14, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
